A Christmas Story Makes It Fun To Be A Kid

Christmas-Story-movie-facts-2

Great moments of Flick’s tongue getting stuck to the pole and the quest for Ralphies Red Ryder BB Gun are why The Tenth Show of Christmas is The Christmas Story. A great portrayal of a  kids world. Watching it I can only image what it would be like if they cast their first choice of Jack Nicholson as Ralphies Dad.

A Charlie Brown Christmas Brings A Cheerful Smile

OneTribe 2010

charlie_LinusFrom the first broadcast in Dec.9 1965, A Charlie Brown Christmas Special has warmed up the hearts of adults and children bringing the classic sound of jazz and infusing it into our holiday spirit. Even though he thought jazz was awful Charles Schulz insisted that they use Guaraldi’s music again for ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas’ with a mix of traditional Christmas hymns because it created the perfect “bubbly, childlike tone” for the show. One of my favourites, partly because I got to play the role of Linus in my grade 5 school play. Enjoy our timeless selection for  the 11th Show of Christmas

Scrooged is Hilarious

OneTribe 2010

scroogesa

Like a nasty windup from the ghost of christmas past, I’m completely dizzy from going around and around in the mall parking lot, but now I am ready to kick off The Twelve Shows of Christmas, starting with Scrooged. A hilarious remake of the classic Christmas Carol starring Bill Murray as Ebenezer Scrooges character named Frank. A cut throat TV network exec who staples antlers to make mice reindeers and gives presents like towels and shower curtains to his brother. If anything a chance to see a cameo by awesome jazz musician Miles Davis. Christmas Carol is such amazing story that you might not want to mess with it, but maybe a funny rendition is okay I mean “We don’t want to scare the Dickens out of them”. Watch the movie, you’ll get it.

They Call It Black Friday

BBf1dD6.img

“Hand over the #@$%  t-shirt” is the title of this picture and article written by Scott Feschuk for Macleans magazine. It truly exemplifies the complete beautiful madness that can happen to a human being. I don’t believe this is something neanderthals dealt because media may blow it up a little but the footage is true, its crazy. Black Friday in a way is similar to one of the cheap buffets you have in Vegas. It is the mass production of something a bulk price. The idea of the money you save gives some perception of value that can make a herd of people levitate of the ground and rush a department store like juggernaut bulldozing down anyone who gets in there way. However that same energy could be harnessed with a different inspirited approach by finding that one particular gift for someone. Investigative and thoughtful you get to tell the story of how your search lead you to that special something that was what you felt the person really needed or wanted. It will be more methodic with heart and less psychotic franticness with rage. Unless your whole family wants i phones, then by all means go on Black Friday, they have wicked deals there. Just watch your back,  because one false move and grandma will ripped that damn phone from your cold dead hands.

Rainstorms, Rainbows and Cypress Hill

IMG_20141107_214030

The boom, clap, rhyming in time. the droplets making some beat. rain all around I love the crashing sound. Spent the whole day with Cypress Hill in the headphones. Black Sunday Album choose to be the sickest mix with this rainstorm. the cracking grungy vinyl sound of  “Cock the Hammer” came on. And as I came to the peak of day I stood under a chromatic archway and knew where I had come. With one headphone in and one headphone out my benign eye saw the planet being completely badass and showing something so chromatic, at the same time.

Fun Word: Chromatic

simply put, something that shows a fullness color

What Happened To The Curious Cat

IMG_20141031_201021

What compels us to seek the unknown. Staring down the dark hallway of that creepy building. We know we shouldn’t go down there without someone but that something says ” I’m gonna check it out”. the Awesomeness of Curiosity. The same thing that finds us righteousness is the same thing can leave us hacked up into little bits. Or become someones lampshade. After getting up close and personal with this creepy dwelling, by no means do I have it all covered. Nevertheless as fan of the horror flicks and in the spirit of Halloween, I simply say a few words to the wise.

Do not go into that random abandon cabin you just found especially if your being chased by a maniac.

Do not go into that deserted motel in the middle of nowhere. Sleep in your freakin car ..with a bat.

If a slow moving body dripping blood doesn’t respond to you they might need more help than you can offer

Chop the dudes head off. knocking them out with a frying pan is not gonna do much.

Finally Lights On!. if your checking something out take out the shadows illuminate the room.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE

The clouds burst and the raindrops poured down sprinkling over the mountains, streaming through the landscape. Riding down trials like sheets of liquid sunshine mirroring the majestic scene around, it was awesome. In the *deluge of a fall day on the island, a new trail was discovered.

Fun Word

Deluge : downpour of greatness pertaining to mother nature, your fellow man or a flood of anything that you  feel is awesome.

A Fish Full of Soulfulness

IMG_20141017_200931

In the North Pacific Coast there is a variety of amazing fish that are having fun under the sea. And from out of that party is the sole fish. A tender light poisson with a neutral texture. its abosortion allows the deep richness of your style and awesomeness to flourish and creates a canvas to paint your flavor upon. Breaded with only bread crumbs, flour, and spice, the sole sweetly sizzles in the pan fry. With moments like this I want to be refreshing my palette so I thought choosing the tomato, cucumber combo was an excellent idea. Also, I wanted to take the opportunity to still enjoy them together while they were in season of delicious produce in British Colombia. The preparation and cooking of fish crafts great artistry and inventiveness in us all. Wild and free let us always try our best to keep them healthy and prominent, because without fish what would we do with all the fishermen jokes.

Movements Of The Shadows

kayle-lawson-nollie-low-res[1]

Felt that chill today and realized summer is over, and I’m okay with that. The sun falls to sleep earlier in October and the surroundings have a stirring mystery, something you really can’t have to much in summer. In my headphones, Tennessee by Arrested Development is playing as I walked back from my bros house near by. Rocking a dark hoodie, dark khakis and my backpack with red designs as the only deep color different from my whole attire gave me an undertone feeling like I was a movement of the shadows. Walked by a group and without seeing it happen, spooked all of them, because they couldn’t see my coming until I was right beside them. Thought “oh damn”, because they were wearing bright clothes and I didn’t even see them. But not a little further my ear is caught by a sound. Pay no attention to it until I hear again, faintly. It gets louder the rolling of the wheels of a skateboard and through the darkness I could hear them build up speed. Who is it? The rolling is all you hear, crunching small bits off the concrete, I’m scared and excited because the anticipation is killing me and I want to see if what I have in my head is who is coming. I can hear the feet hitting the ground for speed and the boarder doesn’t have to worry about how fast he is going because he knows the people on the other end can hear it. As he passed by sporting a pretty dope Discrete Cap I notice that was pretty much the only change to an all black attire he was rocking.  I learn tonight boarding down a strip in the pitch dark, that’s an awesome part of skateboarding because they truly can become movements of the shadows.

Let the Summer Begin

photo

The movement of the body, the animation of the moment. Tharshing forward with full force the board finds that sweet spot located in the core of your soul. It’s rad, it’s fun and in these next two days celebrate the beginning of summer. Whether your a skateboarder surfer or just young at heart, Go Skateboarding Day and International Surfing Day lets us be a little rowdy with an awesome community of life enthusiasts. From the Island I have always found peace  and excitement being around water. We are all a part of it, the fish that we eat drinks from the same water and nourishes us with hydration. We are not all the same, but we are the same water. Taking care of our water is important because it ameliorates our present day and connects us to form a beautiful future, so eventually all we leave on the beach is our foot steps. We are stoked to be part of Surfrider Foundation and 1% For The Planet not only for the outstanding work they do, but to remind us that the small everyday things we do to help Mother Nature accounts a great deal. Summer Solstice is a time of intensity, renewal and great potential. On the longest day of the year let the light of our consciousness shine bright in our awareness to be passionate and do dope things.

FUN WORD PLAY

Ameliorate: to make something better or become better as an awesome individual
